We drove into Oxford this morning to check my results and do some other errands, and we had a great time. It was even sunny for the first time in like two weeks, which was fabulous. I brought the little camera along to snap some more pics of our beloved ex-hometown.

Being such a prestigious university, Oxford of course has a highly sophisticated system of posting exam results - stapling them to a board in no particular order.
It took me awhile to find it, but here I am! Yay!! No "distinction" for me, but I didn't think I would get one anyway - they don't give them out easily and I admittedly didn't give it my all in order to earn one. I don't know any of the other people listed with me - must be in another subtopic of theology other than history.
This is the very pretty side of the Examination Schools, where I exited after my first exam and had many lectures. I had such fun learning about Constantine and Roman Religion there! Good times. I'll miss that part of school for sure.

It was interesting how different it felt to be back in Oxford now that we don't live there anymore. It's only been about a week since we were there of course, and yet the fact that we can't just walk or bus into town whenever we feel like it makes us appreciate the beautiful sights even more than usual.
After a stop at Pret for a croissant and the Cornish Pasty shop for steak-and-Guiness pasty, we drove up to Wolfson to pick up our mail. I got a wonderful birthday-graduation-July 4 package from my fabulous ex-coworkers! You guys rule, thank you!
Then we made a whirlwind stop at our local grocery store for necessary weekend supplies like lemon curd yogurt and ice, and now we are watching Formula One and working on our computers as usual. If the weather holds out, we hope to take a nice walk to a nearby village this evening or tomorrow morning.
