Happy Easter from Casablanca

Easter Greetings from a country that doesn't celebrate Easter! But they do have live Peeps!! I am sure they have nothing to do with Easter or Peeps, but these chicks were quite a sight to see on Easter. This was in the old town market of Casablanca this afternoon.

We are on our third night in Morocco and having a great time. It is very much like a Muslim Mexico and not that nice in many places, but also very interesting and the people are really quite wonderful. And the food is great too. Spain was fantastic as well, but the weather was not so warm! Much more after we get home in a few days, but for now here are just a few pics.

Us in Toledo, Spain:

Holly on the Atlantic Ocean side at Tarifa, on the southern tip of Spain:

David just across the jetty (about 10 feet away), next to the calmer and prettier Mediterranean Sea!

Holly having mint tea in Tangier, Morocco:

Holly at the huge Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca today. We got to go inside thanks to a guided tour between prayer times.

And we got to climb on top of Casablanca's cathedral! It is a strange old Art Deco building made entirely of concrete, from the days when the French ruled Morocco. Note the lack of safety measures up there! Very exhilarating!

Tomorrow we are off to Marrakesh for two nights, then home! Hope everyone is having a happy holiday weekend!
