Happy New Year to all our friends and family! We had a pretty tame New Year's Eve, but a fun one. We're both just happy to be ringing in the New Year in the UK! We had Swedish meatballs (that were actually made in Sweden) for dinner, watched a DVD, endured a bit of the really terrible British music special (we sure miss New Year's Rockin' Eve) and watched the London fireworks on TV at midnight. They were absolutely incredible! They were launched out of the London Eye and from barges all along the Thames. We had some regret we didn't go to see it in person... but there's always next year! There are tons of fireworks going off here in Oxford, too.
