Pigs
Do you remember a few months ago when we visited some pigs on our farm? And then they disappeared not too long after?
Well, the other night we had them for dinner. And they were delicious. I'm glad we didn't get too attached to the poor stinky fellas. The other day David came back from a chat with Charles with a big pack of frozen sausages, and we cooked 'em right up. I'm not a huge sausage fan, as they are usually too spicy, too fatty, too full of who-knows-what, or all of the above. But these were so lean and flavored so nicely. YUM. And for breakfast that day, we had eggs that were inside a chicken just a couple days before. We will miss the farm.
Dinner Date
Last night we had a very nice dinner too, with a repeat visit to The Lamb in Little Milton. We arrived for their earliest dinner slot (6:30) and had the place nearly to ourselves. The chef got our drinks and took our order himself, as he was the only one there until his wife showed up for waitressing duties. They had all the candles lit and white lights strung outside, and it was just so cozy. We left the cameras at home this time, so you'll just have to trust me that my salmon was beautifully arranged over a pile of roasted potatoes and David's steak and ale pie was perfect.
A Whole Lotta Luck!
Finally, and most exciting of all, we are going to get one last visitor before we leave the UK! David's good friend Ron is coming around November 17 for a week or so. And he's not only coming for us, but for LED ZEPPELIN! They are doing a single tribute concert - their first performance since 1988 - at the O2 Dome in London on November 26. And Pete Townshend and Foreigner will be there too.
The demand is absolutely huge, as you might imagine. Tickets were sold only by a random lottery draw, for which over 20 million people registered. And we won!! David just got the news this morning, and we could hardly believe it. The odds are astonishing. You can't get tickets anywhere else, no matter how much you're willing to pay - they've made it so you can only buy two tickets and the person who bought them must attend the concert in person. So we can't sell them on eBay for $5,000, unfortunately. :)

Ron just got the news a few hours ago and has already made plans to fly from San Diego to London to attend. He is a major rock music fan and was on David from the start to enter the drawing. So he is thrilled, and we are thrilled to get to see him. He'll join us for some of our last travels around the UK before the concert, and then he'll head home and we'll leave for Germany. Good stuff!
