I am very happy to report that David got a new, better job! It's the one with 02, the cell phone company. His interviewer was out sick and that's why he hadn't heard earlier, but it was confirmed yesterday that he got it!
The job is in Slough, which is unfortunately a half-hour's train ride away (an hour coming home). But on the bright side, it pays more and would be a lot more fun for him. I asked him this morning to remind me again what he'd be doing and he said calculating commissions for subsidiary stores and costing out special offers, like for Christmas. This is the one that would get him involved in marketing and stuff - a new experience that will be fun and look nice on his resume.
It sounds like the new job will start in about two weeks, which works out well because that's how much longer his current temp job wanted him to stay.
Yay!!
